Every November, we give together for our Legacy Offering. This is separate from our weekly tithes and offerings—an offering that is over and above our usual giving. Each year, we partner with different organizations and projects, globally as one family and locally through our campuses, to strengthen our church, reach our city, and touch people across the globe. As we give together, looking to the future, God will use our generosity to build a legacy—for the future of our church, for our country, and for our children and the generations to come.

On November 19, we have Legacy Offering Sunday at Favor Brisbane where we’ll be giving together as a church and praying over the different initiatives we are supporting.

This year, we’re continuing to strengthen our church and support partner organisations in the Philippines, Australia, Korea, and across the globe.

Redemptio is a Christian school based in Taytay, Rizal — just outside Manila, Philippines. Redemptio exists to bring education to young children who would otherwise never have the opportunity to go to school. We believe that education is one of the most effective ways to break the generational cycle of poverty that is so prevalent in the Philippines. We not only reach school children, but also families and communities, through providing support and resources to parents. Now, they have a wonderful school building and property, and have dreams of adding grades to the school as they grow!

A much loved family from our church, Woolim and Shiloah Ma and their kids Ella and Jacob, moved in August 2023 to start our first Korea campus! The local church in Korea has experienced a decline in the last 25 years, with 70% of 20 to 30-year-olds claiming to have no religious affiliation. Korean society is also filled with pressure and social expectations that add to the discontent of many younger Koreans. We believe that there is a massive opportunity for both non-Christians and “once Christians” to discover a new kind of faith, one filled with joy, hope, life, and favor! Starting in the Seoul Capital Area, a multicultural multi-faith metropolitan area with the fifth largest population in the world, our vision and dream is that more people would be radically transformed by God’s power and love.

Water for Africa is a non-profit organization that exists to demonstrate God’s love by providing access to clean water and safe health care for remote communities in Africa. It was founded by Phil and Julie Hepworth, whose mission started after they learned that one child dies every 15 seconds from water-related diseases. But water is just the beginning – Water for Africa is compelled by God’s love to see lives transformed, purpose and identity found, and people changed by the knowledge that they are loved beyond measure and not forgotten.

One of our deepest desires is to further expand the kingdom of God by standing alongside and uplifting the numerous churches sprouting across the globe. We know how crucial early support is because we’ve been there ourselves. We’ve already had the chance to give into the beginning stages for churches in both Australia and the Philippines, and our heart is to see the Church grow and help in whatever way we can to support God’s move around the world.

Priceless House is an organisation that provides a safe space and support for women facing unexpected or unwanted pregnancies. Many women in these situations feel confused, scared, and helpless, and see having an abortion as their only option. Priceless House provides counselling and support and initial and ongoing practical help for these women, all in a judgement-free environment — helping them to see other alternatives as they move forward.

Many people across our city and nation are dealing with issues that have massive control over their life — things like alcohol and drug addiction, debilitating mental health issues, eating disorders, and so much more. Teen Challenge is a not-for-profit organisation that focuses on providing long term rehabilitation and residential care for people struggling with these issues. Through partnering with Teen Challenge, we want to make an impact in our city and region, and see people feeling hopeless find hope in Jesus.

In the coming years, we will expand our outreach programs and events for youth and young adults who need Jesus. Our goal is to get into high school and colleges bringing initiatives that share the gospel by bringing hope, love, and practical help to communities, all while having a lot of fun! We’re passionate about raising up a godly generation who will live by the truth of Jesus.
Youth and young adults aren’t just the next generation — they’re the now generation! This year, we’re investing in our outreach programs in local high schools and universities. We don’t just want to offer good programs at our church for young people — we want to GO to where young people are! Our local high schools and universities are the best way to do that.

We’re continuing to invest in our church building, facilities, and production. God has blessed us with land and an incredible building, and we’re believing that God will use our building and location to reach more people in our area. We’re looking to invest in our cafe/hospitality space, our children and youth facilities, and in our production equipment — enabling us to connect with more people, create relevant programs for children/youth, and use creativity and media to reach people through our services and events. We also have a dream to pay off the mortgage on our church building — currently approximately $1.5million AUD!
